About Acrobranch Cape Town

Get your adrenaline pumping with a tree-top adventure! This outdoor obstacle course tests your agility as you swing, climb and crawl along the fun-filled course. Slide, balance, jump, crawl, dash, swing or stroll – expect the unexpected from this wild experience that brings you a variety of twists, turns, dips and thrills. Many of the obstacles are high up in the trees, thus requiring good balance and a strong mind (and stomach) for those who are afraid of heights. Housed in Cape Town, it’s an adventure that’s easy to access – with fun guaranteed!

History

The James and Ethel Gray Park in Melrose was the first Acrobranch park to be established in South Africa. The park was such a success that there became a demand for branches to be established in other locations throughout South Africa. Set amongst the trees of Constantia next to the famous Constantia Neck, the Cape Town park was born at the end of 2012 and has been equally well-recieved. To date there are several other Acrobranch obstablce courses across the country, including in Pretoria, on the Garden Route and in Cape Town.

Advice for visitors

For those making a day of exploring what the Cape has to offer on the Hop On Hop Off bus, then Acrobranch is a perfect stop. Conveniently located along the Red Bus route, in and amongst the Constantia wine farms, visitors can easily spend two hours on the obstacles courses before continuing their tour. Wear closed shoes with good tread and comfortable clothing. Visitors with long hair are advised to tie their hair up. Each Acrobranch session lasts two hours, including training and harnessing, but once you have filled your adrenalin cup, there are two fantastic dining options just next door – La Parada and Harbour House – offering delicious food and drink with a view of the valley
