Advice for visitors

If you want to get in-depth to the African works on display, join the Free Curatorial Tours which leave from the front desk at 14:00 daily. Or, take the leisurely approach and stroll through the sculpture garden on your own. Designed to be appreciated alongside the wetland habitat the museum inhabits, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon. Be sure to have sunscreen and comfortable shoes, as well as a camera. Making the most of the tour, sculpture garden, museum galleries and restaurant are enough to fill most of a day. Be sure to give yourself ample time to enjoy it all.

Did you know

The Norval Foundation is dedicated to protecting the endangered western leopard toad. A species under threat by urban development, there are concrete culverts built beneath the nearby road, allowing the toads safe access to the Norval Foundation’s wetlands.
