OVERVIEW
Woodstock Gin Company provides an all-around gin experience where customers are introduced to their micro-distillery, before diving into the sensory experience of tasting the gins on offer. Let your taste and smell guide you through experiencing their four bespoke gin varieties, before trying them paired with tonic and along with recommended garnishes. Food pairings, coffee and snacks are also on offer at additional cost.
HISTORY
The Woodstock Gin Company was established in 2014 by founder, Simon Von Witt. After a period of producing varieties of Italian liqueurs, a friend and well-informed source in the industry advised Von Witt about the endless possibilities of gin. Von Witt then began experimenting with different botanicals to produce a high-quality South African gin.
His passion for the environment, knowledge of local fynbos and indigenous plant species – as well as assistance from his source – enabled him to gauge the correct ratios of botanicals and create Woodstock Gin Company’s most famous blend, Inception! His well-guarded, secret recipe of botanicals delivers the taste that is only found through the company’s passion to create an exceptional quality gin.

Gin is a juniper berry-infused alcohol. It can be made from any pure alcoholic base; however, the Woodstock Gin Company chooses to distil both wine and beer for theirs. Their range of gins consists of three different varieties using pale ale beer or Chenin Blanc as the base. Both are double distilled and infused with fynbos, giving the gins a complex and remarkable flavour.
